Tourism Training

This page contains resources specifically aimed at trainers in the tourism sector. The sector is broad and therefore the learning materials provided covers several aspects to the tourism sector.  Building on the generic training provided, the training considers the following:

• Units 4A and 4B considers how hotels and other providers of accommodation might incorporate circular economy thinking into their business.
• Unit 5A and 5B focuses on transport and how car hire or the use of public transport can support the circular economy.
• Units 6A and 6B looks at the organisation of major and small events that might attract visitors and again support sustainability and the principles of circular thinking
• Units 7A and 7B recognises the importance of tourist attractions as part of the tourist offer in any city or region.

The materials provided include (a) a presentation in powerpoint suitable for downloading and adapting to training needs, (b) an interactive version of the power point, (c) an interactive question exercise and (d) a learning plan for use with vocational students.
